This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Scottsdale Culinary  Festival. Gourmet food takes center stage April 10-13, 2003. Four days packed with delicious events where wineries, chefs, celebrities, locals and tourists alike gather together for a culinary extravaganza.

It’s hard to imagine a better time or place - from orange blossoms and beautiful weather to fiery sunsets and the best chefs in the Southwest - it’s the perfect escape for a weekend of entertainment and incredible cuisine.

Here, raising a fork and toasting a glass of wine goes a lot deeper. The Scottsdale League for the Arts has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for arts and education programs benefiting underprivileged children throughout the Valley of the Sun.

Fundraising is the driving force behind this four-day event and this year, the 25th celebration, Scottsdale League for the Arts attracts celebrity chefs, and local and national media in order to raise record amounts for the charity.

But this is not your typical fundraiser. From fresh air and incredible cuisine to live entertainment - all your senses will be stimulated.

Scottsdale is your culinary destination with eight distinct events to taste and sip your way through:

April 10th, Hall of Fame Dinner and Students Culinary Competition. This award-filled evening honors those who have made significant contributions to the culinary profession in Arizona and showcases award-winning culinary students from Culinary Programs across the nation, Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch, cost $100.

April 11th, A Caterers’ Fare. Guests sample creations from some of the best caterers in the Valley, with all food, beverages, and live entertainment by the Reed Family Reunion included in the cost, $75 per person.

April 12th, Le Tour Culinaire. Come frolic away on at starlit night with a champagne toast and a chauffeured coach escorting you on a progressive dinner to the Valley's finest dining establishments. Le Tour Culinaire takes guests on a coach tour to three different restaurants for a sampling of cuisine created to impress. Each course is paired with a prominent wine and the winemaker will travel with you on your tour. Upon returning to the Double Tree Paradise Valley Resort, guests indulge in a fantastic dessert finale, the vocals of Valley favorite Guy Pennacchio and dancing completes this most elegant evening, cost $175.

April 12th & 13th, Great Arizona Picnic. Celebrate food, fun and sun where the best food from over 40 of the Valley’s finest restaurants combine with on-going live entertainment on two stages for one of the most fun-filled culinary events, with an  entrance fee of $5 per person, children 12-years-old and under free.

April 12th & 13th, Cooks & Corks. Guests taste and sip their way through a "Wonderful Gourmet Tasting of Fine Foods and Wine" while having the opportunity to enjoy demonstrations by the Nation’s and Valley's most acclaimed celebrity chefs, cost $40.

April 12th & 13th, Southwest Festival of Beers. Beer Garden spectacular featuring more than 200 specialty beers surrounded by the excitement of live entertainment, $5 per person (includes souvenir mug).

April 13th, Wine Country Brunch. Join us on a beautiful Sunday morning where guests have the opportunity to meet winemakers and savor award-winning food and wine combinations from ten wineries, hosted by the Scottsdale Four Seasons Resort, cost $55.

April 13th, Best of the Fest. Each celebrity chef exclusively prepares for tables set for 20 special guests, a gourmet five-course dinner paired with award winning wines, Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch, cost $150, seating limited.

It is with great pleasure that Festival Chairman Michael O’Connell representing the 25th Anniversary of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, will be my Special Guest.

Please plan on joining us to socialize and meet new friends!
