My Special Guest this week is Mr. Vernon Penner, Attorney at Law in Mexico and Founder & Owner of Mexican Law Firm - Penner & Garza, and Consultant on Latin American Affairs, with "Of Counsel." Street Address: Mailing Address: Mr. Penner received his education at the University of Sonora and the Faculty of Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. In 1985 he founded the existing law firm of Penner & Garza, with offices in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajauato, Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona and correspondent offices located in Mexico City, Mexico. Mr. Penner provides full service legal and business consulting to Mexico and full business consulting for several parts of Latin America, with emphasis on business structure, finance, real estate, foreign investment regulations, trusts, mining, immigration, representation of foreign banks and commercial entities, government document preparation and translations. Mr. Penner is a prolific writer whose works include a book titled, "The Constitutional Guaranty of Property", published in Mexico City; and subsequently "Creditors Remedies in Mexico" (for the Arizona State Bar), "Real Estate in Mexico and the Foreigner", and several others too numerous to list here. For the past thirteen years, Mr. Penner has periodically taught a class on "Business and Real Estate Transactions in Mexico" at the Arizona School of Business and Real Estate in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Arizona/Sonora Judicial Project of the Arizona Supreme Court, (educational goals for Judges and Attorneys of the two states). I have known Mr. Penner more than ten years and is a good friend. He was raised in Mexico, speaks Spanish and English flawlessly and is extremely knowledgeable on Mexican law and yet is an American and lives in Phoenix.
