Dwight Bennett, a fifth generation native of Arizona was born in Phoenix and graduated from Glendale High School. He attended Arizona State University on a football and track scholarship and graduated with a degree in Art and Technology. After graduating he played football with the Los Angels Rams for a year and a half before an injury ended his football career. He then taught school for twelve years and later went on to completed his master's degree.

Dwight has been a sculptor and craftsman all of his life, in the third grade he was caught carving tiny sculptures out of his crayons with his fingernails, and he was punished.

Dwight has exhibited his work for over thirty years in numerous galleries and exhibitions from California to New York. The Phoenix Art Museum has featured him in their touring show throughout the United States. He now exhibits his work in selected art shows and galleries. He also does commission works through his Online Art Gallery  www.goldenwestart.com

Other Creations by Dwight Bennett can be Viewed at the Artist's Studio located in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
