EmpactTV transforms everyday television programs into interactive shopping experiences. This revolutionary technology provides users with direct access to buying information on any product they see on a television sitcom, movie, DVD or other program.

Using hyperlinks to an EmpacTV image map, viewers can click on virtually any item they see on their TV screen and receive instant view-to-buy information--with no program interruptions. As each item is "clicked" EmpactTV displays the product, a product description, a price, and where-to-buy information. The viewer can buy the item instantly, or add the item to their EmpacTV shopping cart for review or purchase later.

On the set of a typical television show, a viewer may see a computer, a television, a stereo, a sofa, a lamp, and assorted decorator items, in addition to the items of clothing each star is wearing. Most of these items are supplied to the producers of television shows and movies by advertisers who want viewers to see their products.

Unfortunately, if a viewer loves the look of a particular item of clothing or furniture, there would be no way, without EmpactTV, to connect the advertiser's product placement with an actual sale of the product without EmpactTV, the viewer simply has no way of knowing who made the clothing to buy it.
