Our Special Guest Michael Bernacki is a 30 year FBI career and 18 years in management with specialization in Physical Surveillance, Special Operations, Crisis Management, Negotiations, White Collar Crime, Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, and Criminal Profiling. Managed and developed highly successful technical and investigative programs through a succession of leadership positions, culminating in a Senior Executive Service (SES) position in the FBI’s Investigative Technology Division. Managed a staff spanning a broad spectrum of technical security, physical and technical surveillance, and surreptitious entry technologies.
 
  • Directed and developed FBI strategic policy and implementation plans for court ordered technical interceptions.
  • Directed and managed biometrics access control, lock, alarm, countermeasures and security intrusion detection programs.
  • Directed and Responsible for investigative components of the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime to include two Behavioral Analysis Profiling Units, Child Abduction Serial Murder Investigative Resource Center, Violent Criminal Apprehension Program and the Threat analysis Group.
  • Directed and responsible for operational components of the Crisis Management Unit, Crisis Negotiation Unit, Aviation Special Operations Unit and the Rapid Deployment Logistics Unit.
  • Directed and responsible for the United States Attorney General’s Security Protection Detail (Special Detail Unit).
  • National Program Manager for the FBI’s Special Agent Physical Surveillance Teams, Special Operations Group (SOG).
  • Directed national initiatives in support of surveillance operations to include tracking, tagging, electro optic, aviation and training.
  • Directed and managed national surveillance resources on all major cases.
  • Directed and managed the Special Surveillance Group assigned to National Security and Counterintelligence matters.
