It is my pleasure to introduce you to Landis Aden, President of The Arizona State Rifle & Pistol Association (ASR&PA). The ASR&PA is the Official State affiliate of the National Rifle Association (NRA). For 100 years now they have been serving the Rights and Interests of Arizona's firearms owners. The ASR&PA are also affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) and USA Shooting. They work closely with these national groups to serve your Rights and Interests. They work at all levels of government to protect your Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and your ability to defend family, self and home, through very successful Self Defense and Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) programs.

ASR&PA works directly or with our affiliates statewide also: Perform Education and Training, promotes and engages in the shooting sports, supports competitive shooting events, supports hunters and hunting. Works to establish, improve and protect shooting ranges.

All this with special emphasis on Women’s and Junior; safety, marksmanship and competition programs.

To join the ASR&PA go to http://www.asrpa.com/html/join_asrpa.html

This Thursday through Sunday the NRA is hosting it's 138th Annual Meetings & Exhibits. I'll be there to support our Second Amendment Rights and hope you will join me and the thousands of other good people attending. Here's the line up of events!

To join the NRA and lend your important support to preserving the Second Admendment and your right to bear arms please sign up at https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp?CampaignID=nranews

Also, with our freedoms and Rights under attact daily from the left I want to introduce and recommend for reading books written by John R. Lott. His latest is called "Freedomnomics" and is excellent!

Biography:
John R. Lott, Jr. is a Senior Research Scholar at the University of Maryland. Lott has held positions at the University of Chicago, Yale University, Stanford, UCLA, Wharton, and Rice and was the chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission during 1988 and 1989. Lott has published over 100 articles in academic journals. He is the author of six books including: "More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws", "The Bias Against Guns", and most recently "Freedomnomics." Opinion pieces by Lott have appeared in such places as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and The Chicago Tribune. He has appeared on such television programs as the ABC and NBC National Evening News broadcasts, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, and the Today Show. He received his Ph.D. in economics from UCLA in 1984.
